Dreamlike – A new CD with the Erik Westberg Vocal Ensemble and Helge Kjekshus, piano

There are no limitations in the dream, it is fantastic when the brain is completed unrestrained, it seems absolutely real while it is in play, and it is nothing we have to take responsibility for when we wake up.

The CD begins with The Tyger by the young Swedish composer Emil Råberg and continues with Det er den draumen(”It’s that dream”) by Ulf Nilsen, contemporary Norwegian composer and pianist. Works for piano and choir are also represented by Trois Chansons Bretonnes – Henk Badings, Quartette Op. 92 – Johannes Brahms and Drei Chöre Op. 6 – Max Reger. The CD is concluded by Drömmarne (”The Dreams”) by the Swedish lyrical composer Adolf Fredrik Lindblad who was active in Uppsala during the first half of the nineteenth century.
