”Mother Earth”. A beautiful take on The Lord’s prayer. The poem reminds us that our actions here on our planet Earth has had and will forever have environmental effects. From the composer’s preface:

”If we look for the differences between us and other animals, one biological trait stands out – an ability that sets us apart from every other living thing on the planet: the unique capacity to keep a rhythm together.
We are social animals, and without our context and sense of community and belonging, we would have remained powerless. Through the shared language of music, humans have connected with each other, forging bonds and reinforcing social ties. Our unique sense of rhythm not only enabled us to gather as a group; it also allowed us to collaborate in ways that made us unstoppable. No empires could have been built, no pyramids could have been erected, and no wars could have been waged if it wasn’t for people being driven by rhythmic singing and synchronised movements whilst keeping a common pace.
Through music, we became who we are. The rhythm coursing through our blood and our genes has made us strong, so strong that we have become our own worst enemies. Today, as global citizens, we face challenges that extend beyond our own health. The climate crisis is no longer a distant threat – it is here, and it affects us all. We share one planet, and we are all parts of the same humanity. To address the global issues we face today, I believe we must return to our roots, to the very foundation of our existence: our innate capacity for cooperation, empathy, and love, passed down through thousands of generations before us. Each and every one must begin with themselves, but no one can succeed alone. Together, we are stronger.”
