Sara Teasdale’s poetry is very dramatic and personal, and you can almost hear her voice in her poems. There is an honesty in her poetry and a directness that is touching. Her poems are very well suited to be set to music and also to sing. And interestingly enough, she herself called her poems ”songs”. Song is also an on­going theme in her poetry throughout. This song is about peace – inner peace and the obliteration of the self into being within nature. – Tina Andersson
